The scholarship provides an opportunity for an artist based in the UK or the Republic of Ireland, whose work is rooted in painting and/or drawing, to spend three months living and working in a purpose-designed studio at the BSR. The residency offers the time, space, and creative support to develop new work within an international, multidisciplinary community at the heart of Rome. The fellowship offers board and accommodation in a residential studio at the BSR for three month, a monthly stipend of £1500 for three months and a £500 travel grant.
