In the dark, quietly

In the dark, quietly.
Looking up, to the skin’s surface,
Light permeates the membrane above.
Blood circulates in currents,
The inner pulse-
Reverberates- retentir-
To resound
repeat;

A melody is played.
The frequency carves lines-/ a space, within
The body.
The body holds, takes form, recognises.
The shape of the melody imprints,
Pregnating the psyche-
When re-sounded, the shape of it will flare,
Live white neurons/wires illuminate,
like a deep sea fish- translucent
incandescent

Deep below, the images move, in the dark.
Curling, curving intestinal coils
They shimmer and shiver up through the body,
Set off silver hallucinations- shivering
Appolonian ghosts, rise, are seen, awake in dreams.
Hit daylight, shatter- like silk worms-
Turn to dust in the mouth, are lost, dried out in threads
When spoken.
One or two last, pinned down, half escaping
In language,
and they mutate, infectious, passed
Between mouths, eyes, signs,
Re-inhabited by gesture, taken back down.

The intestinal image move, mutate, gestate more slowly-
And they are passed, information held in the eggs of an embryo, (still in her mothers womb)
Forming a chain (of images) grandaughter to grandaughter.

Resonate, Re-sonate, Re-sound
Retentir, reverberate, re-vibrate

There (bodies?) still moving below
Begin to still.
