Day 20 / Curry night
Carpet burn and mud stains, scuff marks and slug trails. Broken appliances and work worn limbs. Curry on a Friday, dad’s sunken armchair. The gap under the door where leaves get in. Do not cover the heaters, fairy lights in April. £10 jeans off his brother’s mate in Canton. White flowers on pea green wallpaper, I swear at times I still see them swaying.
