Platform Dalí has launched its first annual Open Call for Residencies as part of its Research and Creation Programme. The 2027 edition explores the question, ‘What is real?’, inviting artists from all disciplines to undertake a research and creation residency in collaboration with one of Platform Dalí’s scientific partner institutions. The 12-month programme is delivered in two stages: research and enquiry, followed by the development and production of a new artwork. Five artists will be selected, with one residency hosted by each partner institution. Each resident will receive a €7,500 artist fee and up to €25,000 in production funding. For artists based outside Barcelona, travel, accommodation, subsistence and travel insurance costs will also be covered within a set budget.
