Cheltenham Borough Council is seeking a public artist to transform the Honeybourne Line, a historic disused railway turned vibrant cycle path, into an inspiring cultural journey. This commission offers an opportunity to create bold, imaginative artworks that celebrate movement, nature, and community. Artists are invited to propose creative interventions that may include (but are not limited to) artistic seating, gateway/wayfinding features, interpretive installations and biodiversity-inspired art. A component of the project is engagement with local people and should incorporate their feedback into the design process. A total budget of £60,000 is available, fully inclusive of artist fees, materials, fabrication, installation, and local community engagement activities.
