Hidden Presence

An experimental abstract piece where the artist first carved invisible marks into the paper, only to make them appear by applying layers of red and grey pencils. These scratched white lines emerge from beneath the graphite and pigment like a buried message being brought to light. The contrast between the textured strokes of the pencils and the delicate, organic loops of the revealed patterns creates a sense of something previously masked finally becoming visible.
