Torridge District Council invites expressions of interest for a new public art commission in Westward Ho!, a vibrant village on the Atlantic coast within the Northern Devon UNESCO Biosphere. The selected artist will work with Westward Ho!’s community steering group and creative participants to develop an original, site-specific public artwork for the village. The Project Steering Group and Community Panel will select a shortlist of three artists who will receive a ‘pitch fee’ of £500 to develop an outline concept. The selected artist will receive an artist Design Fee of £15k, £30k for fabrication and installation and a community engagement artist fee of £5K. Artists from Devon and across the UK are welcome to apply.
