Wykeland Group, their Managing Director and the Brignall family, Hull, want to commission an experienced and inspired artist or artist team to produce an ambitious and celebratory artwork for Hull’s iconic Fruit Market area. This new artwork will play an important part in celebrating the past, present and future of Hull’s Fruit Market quarter, and in visually setting a tone of joyfulness, energy, vibrancy and optimism. An honorarium fee of £1500, inclusive of VAT, is payable to each of three shortlisted artists or artist teams to prepare their design concepts and participate in the site visit and interview processes. The fee for the design and production of the selected artwork and all elements of the commission is £72,500, exclusive of VAT.
